Carrie Underwood

Country music has more of a calm feel to it and is one of the more relaxing genres of music. Personally I can identify with most of the songs because they are not about fighting, wars, drugs and money but they are about love, happiness, and heartbreak. One of my favorite singers is Carey Underwood and her song called "so small" is about how she is in love with a man that is a marine. She had her whole life planned out but she didn’t expect for him to die in the war so all her plans were torn into shreds and dropped in an ever ending abyss of depression. I like this song because it shows how love has a very big impact on people’s lives and what can happen if you lose the person that you love the most. There is a specific organization called CMT (country music television) that shows her songs and other various country artists and their hits. CMT also has awards for best country artist and they also have their own website. I think that country music speaks the truth about everyday life.

Frankie J

This blog is by an artist named Frankie J and the song is called "Daddy's Little Girl". This song is a sad song; it’s about a family who like most families things don’t work out between the mom, and the dad. The mom and dad aren’t getting along and the little girl doesn’t want her father to leave, she wants him to stay to be a family, and in the song she tells him shell do anything to keep him from leaving. The little girl also is telling the dad that her mom doesn’t mean the things she’s telling him that the mom doesn’t know what she’s saying. I like this song, because the video I like how it’s put together, the video is more upsetting then the song itself.

Miley & Billy Ray Cyrus

This song is called Get ready, Get set, don’t go. I picked to blog about this song because he talks about his daughter growing up and which like most parents they don't want their kids to grow up. I like this song because it reminds me of me and my mom’s relationship we have. Although at times I'm ready for the big world I' am not quite ready to leave my mom, but I know that one of these days that its going to be time to pack up my things and make a life of my own. he also sings in his song saying that he's no excited about his daughter leaving but he’s putting a smile on his face so that his daughter doesn’t think that he doesn’t want her to leave he’s trying to support her but deep down he’s loosing his baby girl.

This week's blog is about Tyrese. One of the main reasons I choose to blog about Tyrese is because he has a song that I enjoy listening to, and it's called “How you going to act like that". Although it is a slow song his lyrics are really good. In the song he talks about him meeting a girl, and from that moment he thinks she the one everything’s that can possible go right in a relationship is what their going through, things are going good for them their relationship is going good, but then she meets a new guy that she chooses over him, and he basically just sings about how their relationship. And he is willing to get her back and work things out so that they can be together.

Cow Girl Don't Cry

This blog is about three country artist. The song is called "Cow Girl Don't Cry"; it’s by Brooks & Dunn featuring Reba Mcentire. This song is recently new; the song is about a little girl and her dad. He bought her a pony so that she could learn how to ride. He tells the little girl that things in life are going to hurt, but he’s teaching her to get back up and keeping going on with life. Finally she grows up gets married and has kids, but her husband comes home late at night, because he’s with other women, but she doesn’t let him see the pain she’s feeling. Then she gets a phone call from her mom saying that this is it her dad is dying, the mom puts the phone by her husbands head, and the last thing he tells his daughter is cowgirl don’t cry ride baby ride, lessons of life show us all in time too soon god will let you know why if you fall get right back on up again, the good lord calls everybody home, cowgirl don’t cry. Brooks and Dunn got the inspiration to write this song from a girl wearing a t- shirt that said cowgirls don’t cry.

Britney Spears

This week in my music blog is Britney Spears. With all the things that have happened with Britney throughout these couple years, she has managed to come out with a couple songs that I like listening to. One of the songs that caught my attention was "Womanizer". I really like the beat of that song it makes me want to get up and dance. I also like this song, because whenever I'm doing my homework it makes me work harder when I' am doing my work because the beat is fast, and it makes me concentrate even more. There is another song that has caught my attention this song is called "Circus", it also like Womanizer has a catchy beat, although her video for this song is really horrible she managed to create a good song with good lyrics, and although Britney has had a bad year with her family, and ex- husband she has gotten her self together, to make a few good hits for her fans.

Ne- yo

Ne-Yo's Song "Because of You" is a song that is always playing on my I pod. Neyo is a great artist I personally think that he is a good singer. Although most of his songs he sings about are love songs I don't mind them to much because I like listening to him when I'm sad or mad his songs seem to calm me down, and concentrate more. Although he doesn’t have allot of experience in the music industry he still makes his way to the top of my list, and even though the only thing he sings about is love, its still nice to listen to something other then rap and hip hop. I hope to hear more of his songs, because I know that he will come up with better songs through out his career.

Madonna

This weeks music choice is Madonna, the reason I am choosing her is because she has many great hits and she's a very successful artist and she had a great career because of her music. Madonna had a bunch of great hits like “Get into the groove",” La Isla Bonita", and “Hung Up". Madonna has been singing music for quiet a while, and while she continues to get older she still is good at singing, and her songs are also still continuing to be as good as her career. I like Madonna because, she’s good at what she does which is singing and dancing I like her style she chooses to be different from other female artist I think she stays true to her color in her music she speaks her mind, and does what she has to do in order to be successful in the music industry.

Eminem

One of my songs that I enjoy listening to from Eminem is called “Loose Your Self". I like this song because it's motivational. He raps about having an opportunity in life to achieve your dream. Having this one moment in life, to peruse your career. To show people that you want this more then anything else in the world. That when you finally get your chance to shine hold on to it don’t let it go because this opportunity will only come once in your life time, but the question is are you going to take your chances or are you going to let them slip? . Are you going to live your dream the dream that you always imagined, or you going to let somebody else come in and take your dream. The reason that I like this song is because it makes you think about life, and where your going to stand whether your going to take this big chance in life to get what you want after all life ia about making choices.

Need a girl .......

A song that I enjoy listening is called I need a girl by P. Diddy ft. Usher. I like this song because he sings about him needing a girl to always be their for him, and he also sings about how that their are allot of girls out there, but not all the girls are the one he’s looking for, he's looking for a girl that will always be their for him no matter what happens. He also sings about him wanting a girl, to be there for him, and she left and now he misses her and wishes she was still there in his life. He wants a girl that will be a wife that can raise a family, and since he’s famous he doesn’t know if girl’s really like him for who he is or because he’s famous. The main reason that I like this song is because, we all wish that we had that one special person in our lives to be there, whenever you needed them. You want to spend your life with them you wan't to give them your life and you want to have a life together

T.I & Rihanna

T.I & Rihanna's live your life is a song that I listen to when I'm feeling down. I listen to this song because T.i say " stop looking at what you dont got, and start looking at what you do got." I look at this quote as him saying you dont need fancy cars, and big stacks of money to make your life happy, its how you make your life, and how you decide to live it. Living your dreams, and not letting anyone tell you that you cant be what you want to be.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is a fairly new country artist, she has a bunch of songs that are great to listen to, but one of my favorites is Love Story. In this Song she talks about Romeo and Juliet and how the dad doesn’t want her to be with Romeo, but they end up being with each other. I like this song, because it’s like a fairy tale song, and also because I like the beat of the song. I enjoy watching the video because of the clothes that they are wearing, they were the clothes that was worn during Romeo and Juliet.
